Team PlayingBoardGames unfortunately mastered the ability to pull the exact wrong encounter card at the exact wrong time. This left the team slightly behind the eight ball throughout their search for Kadath, resulting in a slightly disappointing finish. This was exacerbated by some bad autofail pulls at the wrong time, coupled with four elder signs that ultimately didn’t do anything to benefit the team.

Travis brought a Roland Banks deck to the match, utilizing the Remington as his weapon of choice alongside a few traditional Travis tricks like Practice Makes Perfect and Occult Lexicon. A whiffed Practice Makes Perfect and constant autofails on his attacks made all his efforts feel rather benign, but he was still able to make some clever uses of Roland’s ability. On the other side, Bryn brought Wendy Adams with a Lockpicks in one hand and a Newspaper in the other, but unfortunately Bryn was weighed down by an endless stream of Prismatic Phenomena. Imagine the worst time you could draw a Prismatic Phenomenon and then double it. Seriously.
