Team The Book Club survived the worst starting draws we’ve seen in round 2 so far. Dubbed “The Zoogening” in chat, Beard and Chad drew a collection of Zoogs and Nightriders as they tried to escape the first location in the scenario. While Chad had to take some beats to get out of there, the team managed to escape and put themselves into a good position to lock down 6 Signs of the Gods.

Head Librarian Chad brought a Leo Anderson deck loaded with allies. He utilized a combo built of Sledgehammer 0, Gregory Gry, Endurance, and two Police Dogs 1 to crush Corsairs, Nightriders, and more across the scenario. Additionally, Chad went token crazy, pulling seven Elder Signs and four Autofails. Beard brought Kate Winthrop to her first appearance in MLA, leaning on a book boost from Jeremiah Kirby, Field Work, and various Science assets to get all clues that stood in her way. Seeking Answers 2 and Orphic Theory also proved their place as MVPs in this scenario, giving Beard significant advantage over the high shroud locations in Search for Kadath.
